With the children returning back to School this week Spectrum WASP would like to share some of our personal highlights of the fun packed summer we’ve had with all our wonderful families/young people…Beginning with our residential overnight stay on Thursday/Friday 8th/9th August @ The Mill Adventure Base in “The Pods”…The stay brought in learning new life skills…Activities included team building…low ropes as well as water based activities…The evening saw us all singing by the campfire before returning to our Pods for another fun packed morning to follow with zip wire…and a high rope challenge…Tuesday 13th August was a day out with a difference @ Magna Science Museum enjoying family learning and fun…with lots of hands on activities…The Children/Young people were kept busy and interacted well with all the scientific experiments that was offer to do…Thursday 15th August was a fun 2hr session @ The Mill Sailing and Kata Kanu in open water with qualified instructors…The Children/Young people always have so much fun on this activity and enjoy the outdoors as well as learning new skills…Sunday 18th August was a rooooaaarsome family day out @ Yorkshire Wildlife Park with lots of wonderful animals to see…Walking through some of the enclosure’s and seeing close up Wallaby’s was such a treat…The polar bears having a play together was amazing…as well as the tigers having a nap…The play parks was a lovely area to have our picnics…The day overall was fantastic… Thursday 20th August @ Sherwood Pines…A family fun day out with a bike maintenance session with Darren followed with a relaxing bike ride through the beautiful pines…After the ride we had a Picnic lunch and bush craft/shelter building in the woodland area…The children worked so well together shelter building and had a great day being outdoors…Spectrum WASP would like to take this opportunity to say Thank You to all our wonderful Families Children/Young People that attended and supported our Summer Holiday Activity programme…We hope you all had as much “FUN” as we did !!!
