The visit to the RAF Red Arrows at RAF Waddington, arranged after persistent efforts spanning 18 months, unfolded as a breathtaking experience for Spectrum WASP during the initial week of the school holidays. This unforgettable journey was made possible by the remarkable efforts of Gaz Ware. The event allowed six young people and their parent/carers to embark on an extraordinary morning, featuring an in-depth look at a retired Red Arrows plane used for training, engaging with actual Red Arrows pilots, and the highlight of witnessing the Red Arrows execute their full practice routine. The sheer amazement and joy expressed by both our young people and adults, with one proclaiming it the “BEST day of my life,” underscores the profound impact of this event. The opportunity to share this moment with our group was truly special, igniting a wish within us to relive such an experience repeatedly. Our heartfelt gratitude extends to Gaz and the RAF staff for such an amazing day…
