Spectrum Wasp children and young people recently embarked on a project, using technology under the guidance of Sophie from Sojo Animation and Ian from Mansfield District Council. Over a nine-week period, they were immersed in a digital animation project designed to bring the essence of Mansfield to life through their eyes. With an array of digital tools, alongside traditional arts and crafts, they crafted a narrative that was both personal and reflective of their community. The showcase was held at Mansfield Palace Theatre with a glamorous red carpet premiere. Our Children/Young people were celebrated with an evening of mocktails, pizza, and the glow of the spotlight, acknowledging their hard work and artistic flair. The project peaked in a breathtaking 7-minute animation, a testament to the children’s and young people’s perspectives, dedication, and talent. Spectrum Wasp stands proud of this achievement and extends a heartfelt gratitude towards Sophie, Ian and all the young creatives. This event was symbolic of the power of collaboration, creativity, and community in forging the future of digital storytelling, showcasing that when young minds come together, they can create something truly remarkable…
