We’re absolutely over the moon to share some amazing news with you all. Spectrum WASP has secured an incredible £75,000 towards the purchase of our very own two-bedroom luxury lodge at Ashbourne Heights in Derbyshire, surrounded by the peace and beauty of rolling green countryside. With the rising cost of residential trips and the ongoing cost of living crisis, we recognised the urgent need to create a safe space where our registered parents, carers, children, and young people can take short breaks away. A place to spend quality time – to recharge, reset, and reconnect in a calming environment that truly feels like home. We would like to take this opportunity to say a heartfelt thank you to The Clothworkers’ Foundation for their generous £75,000 donation, which played a pivotal role in making this dream possible. We are also incredibly grateful for the support from the 2023 Ben Nevis Fundraiser, Team Vinyl (Renfest), AH & BC Whiteley Trust and the Spectrum WASP pot, which all contributed vital funding. A special thank you as well to Russell Scanlan Insurance Brokers for generously covering the cost of furnishing the lodge, helping to make it warm and welcoming for every family who visits. We are so grateful to each and every one of you who helped turn this dream into a reality. We’d also like to acknowledge Lucinda from Pure Awards for her help and support with our application, it was greatly appreciated. We’ll be sharing more details soon on how to book your short break stay, including pricing and availability. This is a fantastic milestone and another proud achievement for us at Spectrum WASP – thank you for being part of the journey!
